Henrique Araújo is preparing to leave Benfica in this window, with another loan currently the most likely route.
According to Glorioso 1904, this move would represent a final chance for the 24-year-old to show he remains useful to the club in 2026/27. There is interest from Portuguese sides, notably Vitória de Guimarães, while a switch abroad is also under consideration.
Araújo has already spent the past three seasons out on loan, at Watford, Famalicão and Arouca.
He has slipped down José Mourinho’s pecking order this term. His most recent minutes in red came in the 2-0 win against Atlético in the Taça de Portugal, when he played 12 minutes.
Having expected greater involvement with the first team, the forward has seen little action under Mourinho, prompting a push for a project offering regular football.
Valued at €2 million, Araújo has made 11 appearances this season for Benfica, five in Liga Portugal Betclic, four in the Champions League, one in the Supertaça and one in the Taça de Portugal. Across 135 minutes, he has neither scored nor assisted.
