FC Barcelona have been one of the clubs who have been linked with a move for Rafael Leao for quite some time now.
The former LOSC Lille starlet, who has been one of the standout performers in Serie A over the past few years, is expected to leave AC Milan after facing problems with the coach and management.
This has put multiple top clubs across Europe on red alert, as they look to snap up the Portuguese international in the coming summer.
However, a recent report from MARCA suggests that Leao is no longer a serious option for Barcelona despite the club’s desire to shore up their ranks in the offensive unit.
It appears the Catalans have simply lost interest in the Portuguese star, especially after his problems at AC Milan.

Indeed, the attacker has faced questions about his commitment and a lack of effort at AC Milan. The player, for his part, is also unhappy with the current lot and wants to leave the club as soon as possible.
Such kind of attitude towards the club may have raised alarms within Barcelona, who are no longer considering the option of signing the player.
This is despite the fact that Joan Laporta was fond of Leao not too long ago, and his close friend Jorge Mendes was constantly trying to hand him the opportunity to sign the player.
The report adds that even Deco is not particularly fond of Leao and lacks conviction in the Portuguese international.
Keeping that in mind, Barcelona are likely to shift their attention to other attacking targets in the market, with the club being recently linked with a move for Luis Diaz.
