Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie has left Ecuador’s training camp following medical tests and returned to North London.

The Arsenal left-back/centre-half started Ecuador’s friendly draw with Morocco in preparation for the 2026 World Cup.

He came off in the 73rd minute and has now picked up an injury, a massive blow for the Gunners.

Hincapie has been a key player for Arsenal this season since signing this summer, featuring 33 times scoring a goal and providing 2 assists.

He took his time to get acclamatised to the side, but was beginning to fit in, when the injury setback came as a massive blow.

The current international break has been devastating for Arsenal. Gabriel Magalhaes, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Noni Madueke have all picked up issues.
