Sky Germany reports that Hoffenheim forward Jacob Bruun Larsen is on the verge of joining VfB Stuttgart for the second time in his career.

Hoffenheim and Stuttgart are close to agreeing on a fee for the winger, whose contract in Sinsheim expires in the summer. Head coach Sebastian Hoeneß is pushing to sign the Dane due to having worked with him when he was head coach of Hoffenheim.

Larsen will likely sign a contract a the MHP Arena until 2027 with an option of an extra year. Trabzonspor in Turkey were also pushing to sign Larsen, but he preferred a move to Stuttgart.

This will be the second time the 26-year-old moves to Stuttgart as back in 2018 he had an underwhelming six-month loan spell at the club.

Larsen has two goals and two assists in 12 games for a struggling Hoffenheim side in the Bundesliga this season.

The arrival of Gift Orban at Hoffenheim also likely meant that Larsen dropped down in the pecking order of attackers under Christian Ilzer.
