Tens of thousands of Leeds United supporters are set to descend on Wembley for a first FA Cup semi-final in 39 years, with previous allocations suggesting a similar mid-30,000 ticket share for the Whites.

Daniel Farke’s side reached the last four with a 4-2 shootout win at West Ham, having led 2-0 entering added time, conceded twice and then played out a goalless extra time. According to The Mirror, police are on high alert for the tie and Leeds are expecting around 32,000 tickets, although nothing has been confirmed.

The draw made immediately after that win paired Leeds with Chelsea. Wembley holds 90,000 but Club Wembley, commercial partners and segregation mean the split will be well below 45,000 apiece.

For the 2023/24 Championship play-off final, Leeds initially received 35,796 with extra restricted-view seats released nearer the day. On that basis, a similar allocation against Chelsea would not be a surprise.

Recent FA Cup semi-finals have seen clubs given between 34,000 and just over 36,000, while Manchester City only took 27,000 amid regular trips and rising costs. In 2024, Coventry City, Chelsea, Manchester United and City are believed to have started with roughly 34,000 each.

The semi-final date is still to be confirmed for the weekend of April 25/26 and neither club has issued ticket information. Leeds’ league trip to Bournemouth has been brought forward to Wednesday, April 22 at 8pm on Sky Sports, while Chelsea visit Brighton at 8pm on Tuesday, April 21.
