Both sides looking to end January on a positive note
Chelsea host West Ham on Saturday afternoon in their final match of a busy January.
The first month of 2026 has seen the Blues part ways with Enzo Maresca, appoint a new head coach in Liam Rosenior, and qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League.
Rosenior has now won five of his first six matches in charge of the club, with his most recent victory, a gutsy 3-2 defeat of Napoli, arguably his best yet.
If it has been a hectic start to the new year for Chelsea, it has been doubly so for Nuno Espirito Santo and West Ham.
The Irons have been active in the transfer market as they look to strengthen ahead of a heated relegation battle, adding Taty Castellanos, Pablo, Keiber Lamadrid and Adama Traore.
They have, however, lost the services of Lucas Paqueta, who was granted ‘reluctant’ permission to rejoin boyhood club Flamengo last week.
