Corinthians released behind-the-scenes footage from their 1-0 victory at São Bernardo, highlighting dressing-room speeches and a pointed message from Hugo on the stakes involved.

According to Meu Timao, the video, posted almost 24 hours after the final whistle at Estádio Primeiro de Maio, opens with the squad arriving before warm-ups and final preparations.

Before kick-off, Matheuzinho told team-mates these matches must be treated like finals, urging the group to prove its ambition to make Corinthians a leading force. He framed every outing as a commitment to the club and supporters, a privilege rather than pressure.

The footage then shows André Luiz’s strike from distance that settled the match. Afterwards he said they had controlled the game but lacked precision in the final third, and he was pleased with the finish and with qualification, targeting a strong push in the finals to defend their title.

Post-match, Hugo led the huddle, stressing that even a draw would have meant elimination and calling for the same standards used in clássicos every time. He added hope that Yuri’s problem was not serious and viewed the knockouts as a fresh competition to chase the title again.
