Former Chelsea boss seemingly made an ‘off air’ dig at his former employers when he sat down in the Blues press room last night.
His side had just been beaten 2-1 by Chelsea who had to come from a goal behind, and at one point it looked like Potter was going to come back to Stamford Bridge and do the unthinkable. But Chelsea got lucky with a winning goal that took a wild deflection to be handed as an own goal, and The Blues won the match in the end.
Potter was sacked as Chelsea manager after a turmoil time at the club and things did not end well at all, so I am sure that it was a strange feeling for the former Brighton man to be returning to the place where he probably has some pretty bad memories.
He was then forced to sit in that all too familiar press room at the end of the game to speak about the defeat to his former side, and he could not help himself but make a snide little comment before the camera officially started rolling.
Luckily, the camera did pick it up though!
Graham Potter applauds the Chelsea fans.
In a video posted by Hayters TV last night, you can see and hear Potter tell the journalists as they were all finding their seats, “I don’t miss being in here!”
Well, I’m sure you don’t miss it mate! As I say, it was hardly a good time of great memories for him and Chelsea football club as they collectively failed to bring the club back to where it needs to be.
He is a pretty funny character to be honest, so you know this was just a little tongue in cheek comment!
