Two forwards have hit form at the right time for Spurs

Igor Tudor has said he sees no reason why Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani cannot play together for Tottenham.

Kolo Muani started and scored in place of Solanke during last weekend’s north London derby defeat as Tudor was given a rude awakening to life in the Premier League.

Solanke has been in excellent goalscoring form since returning from injury in January, but was named on the bench for the interim head coach’s first game in charge after struggling with a sore throat.

Back to full fitness now, though, Tudor has a decision to make on whether to reintroduce Solanke to the starting lineup for Sunday’s trip to Fulham.

Tudor has typically operated with a lone striker behind two central No10s during his career, but when asked, he did not close the door on the possibility of Solanke and Kolo Muani playing together.

“Yes, yes, why not,” Tudor replied.

Kolo Muani has struggled for form since arriving at Spurs on loan from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, but scored his first Premier League goal of the season last weekend, repaying the faith shown in him by Tudor.

Tudor knows Kolo Muani well from their time together at Juventus last season, with the Frenchman netting 10 goals in 19 appearances in all competitions after joining the club in January 2025.

The 27-year-old has Tudor’s trust and the Croat believes he can fire Spurs to safety as they look to stave off relegation.

“I believe [he can score the goals to keep Spurs up], yes. I really hope he continues to score,” Tudor continued.

Spurs are in the midst of an injury crisis, with eight first-team players currently on the sidelines and captain Cristian Romero suspended.

The return of Richarlison from a hamstring injury has, however, boosted Tudor’s options going forward and the interim head coach admits his main priority is to find the right balance between attack and defence.

“Yeah, that's the main job to do,” he continued. “How you can have enough offensive players but not suffer in the back.

“How many offensive players can you afford to not concede too much?”
