Leeds United have lost Ilia Gruev for the rest of the season after a knee meniscus injury in training, with Daniel Farke awaiting updates on Anton Stach, Jayden Bogle and Sebastiaan Bornauw for Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea at Wembley.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Farke confirmed on Thursday that Gruev will not feature again this campaign, ruling him out of the cup tie and the run-in.

Stach has been rehabbing an ankle problem sustained in the quarter-final at West Ham United, when he was wiped out by an unpunished challenge in the penalty area, and he has not played since.

Bogle took a heavy tackle in the first half of the 2-2 draw at Bournemouth on Wednesday, was withdrawn at the break and Joe Rodon came on. Farke said the knock to Bogle’s foot seems not too bad and they hope he can recover in time.

Bornauw rolled his ankle during the warm-up, appeared to collide accidentally with Facundo Buonanotte, and did not take part in half-time drills with the other substitutes. It was sore and he has not been able to join team training. Farke hopes he can return to training tomorrow and, if so, be available.

Farke expects Gruev to be back for the start of pre-season. He said Stach is not yet in team training, there are a few more days to assess him, and if he returns to the group he has a chance.
