The Magpies head to Brussels on Wednesday, 1st October for the early 6.45pm kick-off (local time), with stadium turnstiles opening from 5.15pm. UK kick-off time is 5.45pm.

SAFETY IN BELGIUM

Supporters are advised to avoid the Anderlecht area around Lotto Park before and after the match. It is strongly recommended that supporters travel to the stadium from areas in the city centre. Do not socialise or gather in the Anderlecht area.

Street crime, including pickpocketing, can take place in Brussels. Supporters are advised to be vigilant, take sensible precautions and ensure they have valid travel insurance.

GETTING TO LOTTO PARK

Supporters should arrive at Lotto Park early to proceed through search processes upon entry to the stadium. Supporters should plan their journey and arrive no later than one hour before kick-off.

Taxi

For supporters getting dropped off by taxi at the stadium, there is a designated drop off point for away fans; this is at 'Square Egide Rombaux'.

Supporters can be dropped off and picked up from this location if they do not wish to use the Metro system. The drop off location is a two-minute walk from the away section entrance. There is no standard parking available at Lotto Park.

Metro

Supporters can take the Metro to Lotto Park, exiting at VEEWEYDE station. When leaving the station, travel east down 'Avenue Eugène Ysaye' until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout take the first exit to your right on to 'Avenue Theo Verbeeck' then take an immediate right to enter the away entrance. Stewards will be there to guide you from this point. The distance from the metro station is 1km.

There will be a dedicated metro in operation This will leave from DE BROUCKERE station, and the time will be communicated on this article and via supporter groups ahead of the day. (Please note this is not a mandatory service. It is offered by the local authorities to help supporters).

ON ARRIVAL AT LOTTO PARK

All Newcastle United supporters must use the designated entrance at Lotto Park (mentioned above). On arrival there will be a ticket check followed by a body search of all supporters prior to entry to a sterile area, before the turnstiles. There will be Newcastle United ticketing staff and stewarding teams in this location should you require any support. Tickets for this fixture are digital.

Once at the six turnstiles, supporters will face a second ticket check and body search prior to entry.

Once inside the stadium, Newcastle United fans will be housed over two levels - two blocks in the upper tier and one block in the lower tier.

Alcohol will be available inside the stadium alongside a range of other concessions. Please note that Lotto Park is a cashless stadium.

It is forbidden to smoke in the stadium.

PROHIBITED ITEMS AT LOTTO PARK

Below is a list of prohibited items for Lotto Park:

• All types of bag larger than A4 (>30l) - rucksack, hiking bag, sports bag, suitcase, etc.

• All drinks (bottle, glass, cans, with the exception of water in plastic bottles of up to 0.5 litres without cap) purchased outside the stadium.

• All types of food purchased outside the stadium.

• Selfie poles, laptops, tablets, cameras with interchangeable lenses, video and/or audio recording devices, GoPro or similar cameras and drones (only compact cameras without removable lenses are permitted).

• Banners, insignia, badges, leaflets or any other material intended to be seen by third parties for political, ideological, philosophical or commercial purposes or of a racist or xenophobic nature. Only small-format flags or signs are accepted (dimensions vary depending on the type of event, more tolerated at sporting events, please contact the event organiser for further details).

• Pushchairs, prams, cots, skateboards, roller blades, bikes, etc.

• Large umbrellas with a pointed metal section.

• All types of animals, except guide dogs (to be indicated when purchasing the ticket).

• All types of pyrotechnic objects: flares, flammable or explosive materials, fireworks, torches, firecrackers, etc.

• Any type of drugs, hallucinogens or laughing gas cartridge.

• Any dangerous object that could cause bruising or cuts: firearms, bladed weapons, sticks, chains, striking weapons, piercing weapons or stabbing weapons, etc.

• Any noisy musical instrument (more tolerated at sporting events, please contact the event organiser for further details).

• Chairs (folding or not).

• Laser pens.

• Paper shavings and confetti.

Please note there is no luggage storage available at the stadium.

FLAG POLICY AT LOTTO PARK

Supporters can bring their own flags to the stadium, but they must have a fire safety certificate and must not have any offensive, political or discriminatory words or images on them. These will be checked on entry to the stadium. Flags must not be on flagpoles.

KIOSKS AT LOTTO PARK

There are two kiosks available for Newcastle United fans in the away sector; these will accept card payment only. Alcohol will be sold inside the stadium and can be taken to your seat.

IF REFUSED ENTRY TO THE GAME

If, for whatever reason, supporters are refused entry to the game, they are advised, in the interests of safety, to return to the city centre via the Metro system.

FOLLOWING THE GAME

Supporters may be held back within the stadium after the final whistle for safety reasons. Access to toilets and food and drink from kiosks will be available during this time. If this does happen, it will be communicated to supporters over the public announcement system and fans are politely asked to remain patient until permitted to leave.

INFORMATION FOR DISABLED SUPPORTERS

Supporters with wheelchair accessible tickets should enter via the process outlined above. There will also be a member of the Newcastle United Accessibility and Stewarding team on hand to support and assist you when you arrive at the away section entrance.

There is no storage available for wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility support equipment and there is no lift access to the upper tier of the away section.

There is no audio-descriptive commentary service provided by the home club for this game.

There is no prayer room at Lotto Park.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS AND VIEWING PLATFORM

All wheelchair accessible tickets are located directly beside the away section. The entry process will be the same as outlined above and through the away section entrance. The viewing platform will be a mixture of home fans and Newcastle United supporters. There will be a designated entrance via the away section entrance to allow easier access. Fans are advised to arrive 90 minutes before kick-off for a smoother entry procedure.

In the location of the wheelchair access seats, the position of the personal assistant seat is located behind wheelchair user seating locations.

There are accessible toilets in close proximity to the wheelchair viewing area. Please note that these toilets do not have a hoist. The wheelchair viewing area is covered and not impacted by weather, however the entrance procedure is open to the elements.

There is specific accessible parking available for fans requiring easy access to the stadium for accessibility needs. This parking is in close proximity to the away sector but will require advance notice.

MEDICAL AND DISABILITY SUPPORT FACILITIES AT LOTTO PARK

There is a medical room at the stadium, and the stewards will be able to direct you there if required.

FAN MEETING POINT IN BRUSSELS

The local authorities have advised that Newcastle United supporters can gather in the 'La Bourse' area of the city centre where you will find plenty of bars and restaurants. Supporters travelling who do not have a match ticket are advised to stay in this area during the game.

UNION SAINT-GILLOISE U19s v NEWCASTLE UNITED U19s

This UEFA Youth League fixture will be played at the Joseph Marien Stadium with a 13:30 kick-off.

This is a ticketed fixture, and tickets will not be available on the day at the stadium. Supporters wishing to attend should reach out directly to Union SG for more information.
