Inès Benyahia captained OL Lyonnes for the first time and struck a superb free-kick to break the deadlock in a 4-0 derby win over Saint-Étienne.

According to Le Progres, the 22-year-old France international saw the armband as an honour and a source of pride.

Saint-Étienne have been kind to her before. It was against them that she returned from a lengthy concussion lay-off, providing an assist with her first touch.

Just under a year on, she has recovered her full faculties as a professional footballer.
