Lennart Karl is the shooting star par excellence at FC Bayern this season, so it’s no wonder that the bosses are thinking about offering him another improved contract
With his performances at the start of the season, Lennart Karl has now established himself as an integral part of FC Bayern’s professional squad. The talented attacking player, who is only 17 years old, repeatedly scores impressive goals from his right wing position. In the Champions League, he was even named Man of the Match against Brugge after scoring his debut goal
So it’s no wonder that the bosses are very happy with him. As transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has now revealed, the Munich management are so happy with Karl that they want to improve his contract again. The German record champions only extended their contracts with Karl and his team-mate Wisdom Mike in August
Karl’s contract is now set to receive an upgrade, with Säbener Straße seeing him as an important building block for the future of the club and apparently now wanting to reflect this appreciation in a new contract. However, it is not yet known exactly what the new contract will look like
Karl made a perfect debut for the German U21 national team, scoring his first goal after just 37 minutes in a DFB jersey. He also added another goal in the match against Malta on Friday evening, ending up with a top rating of 10 from Sofasocre
With performances like that, he should impress national team coach Julian Nagelsmann in the long run. First, however, the senior team coach wants Karl to go through the U21s and prove himself there, as he recently announced at a press conference. „He can play an important role there. At the moment, he needs to get more playing time in the Bundesliga, it’s still too early,“ he continued
When asked about a possible Karl nomination, Nagelsmann also made it clear: „In general, I’ve always said that I’m not a fan of hyping up young players at an early stage.“ He continued: „For me, it’s about having transparent communication with the players.“
