Inter and Fiorentina plan big changes for Monday night clash | OneFootball

Inter have the chance to cut the gap from Napoli to just one point, but are forced into changes as Fiorentina prepare to unleash new buys Nicolò Fagioli and Nicolò Zaniolo.

It kicks off at San Siro on Monday at 19.45 GMT and this will conclude the Serie A Week 24 fixtures.

This is a curious twist of fate, because the two sides met on Thursday evening to finish off the Week 14 match that had been abandoned at the 17th minute for Edoardo Bove’s medical emergency.

That game ended 3-0 for Fiorentina at the Stadio Franchi with a Moise Kean brace and Luca Ranieri volley.

Now they play the reverse fixture just four days later at San Siro, and because this is Week 24, both teams are allowed to call upon their January signings.

However, Denzel Dumfries is suspended, with Joaquin Correa and Federico Dimarco not at 100 per cent, the latter suffering from flu symptoms.

Stefan de Vrij could also be rested for the return of Francesco Acerbi in his first start two and a half months after the serious thigh strain.

Fiorentina coach Raffaele Palladino will sit out a touchline ban, where he is joined by defender Pietro Comuzzo in the stands.

Yacine Adli is also struggling with an injury, but Nicolò Zaniolo could be given his debut after the deadline day move from Galatasaray via Atalanta.

Former Juventus midfielder Fagioli is another option to get his debut from the start in the absence of Adli, while Cher Ndour is also in the squad.

There are a few different alternatives for Palladino, who could pick Fabiano Parisi rather than Albert Gudmundsson, which in turn would move Lucas Beltran’s role.
