Inter open their tabs for a full-back as they earmark promising Italian full-back Marco Palestra.
Niccolo Ceccharini of TMW reports through his editorial, via FcInter1908, that the Nerazzurri are monitoring the 2005-born defender as an option to rejuvenate the squad in next year’s campaign, given that Palestra is on loan from Atalanta to Cagliari for the entirety of the 2025/26 season.
So far, the Bergamo bound full-back has heavily impressed at the Rossoblu, amassing 3 assists in 12 cameos thus far for Cagliari, also earning himself his first call up for the Azzurri national team in the most recent international window.
With Denzel Dumfries’ future uncertain beyond this season given that a release clause of €25m will be attached to him next summer, and Matteo Darmian most likely not to renew with the Beneamata given his age, it remains to be seen if Inter will push beyond monitoring Palestra and make a concrete offer for the full-back.
The Nerazzurri have also identified Idrissa Toure of Pisa as an alternative to the Italian international in the event that a deal with their primary choice cannot materialize.
