In the 14th minute Nicolo Barella and Petar Sucic combined to set up Federico Dimarco who broke the deadlock.

The half ended with the Nerazzurri in the lead.

However, Inter continued as they left off in the first half. Continuing to dominate and create chances. Which is why it was surprising that the Nerazzurri doubled their lead as late as in the 81st minute.

This after a Carlos Augusto shot was deflected into the Sassuolo net. The Brazilian was excellent on the night creating chances for himself on a couple of occasions.

However, Sassuolo halved Inter’s lead just three minutes later when Domenico Berardi played a wonderful ball for Walid Cheddira who made no mistake.

Sassuolo barely created anything despite that goal. Inter controlled the procedure and were able to win but it was nervy towards the end.

Therefore, the match ended with a 2-1 win at home to Sassuolo.

Furthermore, the season in Italy is starting to get back on track. Three points, two goals scored and one conceded after creating loads of chances from open play.

In conclusion, Inter Milan now have to continue getting the Serie A season back on track after two losses and two wins.

The Nerazzurri travel to Cagliari on 27th September, Saturday night at 20.45 CET.
