English referee Chris Kavanagh didn’t put his foot wrong in last night’s Champions League match between Inter Milan and Slavia Prague.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 40-year-old enjoyed a spotless performance at San Siro.
It’s worth noting that the game unfolded at a slow pace, with Inter assuming complete control of proceedings.
Indeed, Slavia’s defensive approach and Inter’s reluctance to do things in a hurry made Kavanagh’s job considerably easier.

After a quiet first half, Chris Kavanagh showed three yellow cards post halftime.
Indeed, Yann Bisseck was the first player to get into the referee’s notebook for a reckless tackle on Lukas Provod.
Then, Lautaro Martinez received a booking for a naive foul on David Zima.
El Toro should have known better than to pull the Czech center-back from behind.
Finally, Kavanagh sanctioned Ivan Schranz for a late challenge on Alessandro Bastoni.
Meanwhile, VAR had no reason to intervene as all three Inter goals were crystal clear.
