Inter Milan are weighing up a bold move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as Marcus Thuram’s departure from the Nerazzurri looks increasingly likely, setting up a potential swap of attacking fortunes between two of Serie A’s biggest clubs.

According to L’Interista, Thuram’s exit is gathering momentum. Inter hold an €85 million release clause on the Frenchman, a figure that would represent a record profit given he arrived on a free transfer.

That clause expires in July, after which Inter can negotiate his sale freely.

His 34 Serie A goals for the club are not forgotten, but the feeling is growing that both player and club may be ready for a new chapter.

Vlahovic is emerging as the frontrunner to replace him.

The Serbian has scored 64 goals for Juventus since joining in January 2022, but a serious injury has kept him sidelined since late November.

His contract expires on June 30th, 2026, making him a free agent from July 1st.

Juventus want to sell before then to avoid losing him for nothing, and Inter are listening.

The stumbling block is significant. Vlahovic currently earns €12 million net per season, more than captain Lautaro Martinez, who takes home €9 million.

Fitting that salary into Inter’s wage structure would require careful negotiation and likely a pay cut from the player himself.

Both clubs appear open to talks. The coming months will determine whether the pieces fall into place, but it is a deal that would reshape Serie A’s attacking landscape if it comes off.
