Inter Milan ‘to consider’ Djed Spence after £25.6m Khalaili move collapses | OneFootball

Djed Spence, the former Leeds United loanee, could be on the radar of 2025/26 Serie A champions Inter Milan after a £25.6m move for Anan Khalaili collapsed due to a failed medical, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Spence’s loan from Tottenham to Elland Road in summer 2023 was cut short in January 2024 after seven appearances. A six-month spell at Bologna brought little improvement.

Back at Tottenham, the 25-year-old has revived his career, featuring in 55 Premier League games with 42 starts, and earning an England call-up for this summer’s World Cup. He has been used across the Atlantic to help close out wins over Mexico and Norway.

Inter are prioritising a new wing-back following the collapsed Khalaili deal, and any move for Spence could be costly given his recent form.

The Athletic reported last week that Everton are also interested as they seek a successor to Seamus Coleman, who left when his contract expired this summer. Spence’s fortunes have shifted since leaving Leeds in January 2024, with Daniel Farke ending the loan early while declining to criticise the defender, praising his potential and highlighting a standout display against Ipswich.
