Francesco Pio Esposito could reportedly return to the starting lineup when Inter Milan face Bologna at home on Sunday.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 20-year-old is in line for his first home start in Serie A since late October.
Seeking revenge for a dismal Supercoppa Italiana elimination, Inter will take on Bologna in their first game of 2026 this weekend.
Furthermore, Cristian Chivu’s men will enter the new calendar year as Serie A pacesetters, eager to stay on top of the tree.

Marcus Thuram partnered up with Lautaro Martinez in Inter’s hard-earned 1-0 triumph at Atalanta last weekend.
However, the French striker failed to make an impact, though VAR disallowed his first-half goal for offside.
On the other hand, Pio Esposito made an immediate contribution after taking his place midway through the second half.
Indeed, the young striker set up El Toro for the winning goal just two minutes after gracing the pitch.
