Inter Milan star Andrea Bastoni has on Monday moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of a member of the attacking ranks at upcoming opponents Barcelona.

The player in question? Lamine Yamal.

Wide-man Lamine of course took his place front and centre in the headlines across all of Europe last week.

As much came after the Spanish international, still just 17, conjured up nothing short of a remarkable individual performance in Barcelona’s Champions League semi-final first-leg meeting with the aforementioned Inter.

After Hansi Flick’s troops fell into a two-goal hole early on, Lamine took his teammates on his back, notching a stunning goal before proving himself the driving force en route to a comeback share of the spoils.

And one individual on whom the brilliance of the youngster was not at all lost is Nerazzurri defender Alessandro Bastoni.

Drawn on Lamine’s talents during a press conference ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League return leg at San Siro, Bastoni was not shy in admitting:

“Lamine Yamal is the best player I’ve ever faced.”
