‘Is Not Considering Tottenham’ – Big Blow For Spurs In Transfer Chase | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur have suffered a transfer blow as an attacker they are chasing is ‘not considering’ them at the moment.

Spurs have just made a change in the dugout with Ange Postecoglou making way and Thomas Frank coming in to succeed him.

The switch, which has split opinion amongst some fans, has seen Tottenham catapulted into the race for land attacker Bryan Mbeumo from Frank’s former club Brentford.

It has been suggested that Frank could convince the Bees attacker to snub Manchester United, who have been leading the race, and head for Tottenham instead.

However, according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, the player will not be moved.

Mbeumo ‘is not considering Tottenham’ at the moment as he has given his word to Manchester United.

The attacker is keen to wait to see if Manchester United can do a deal with Brentford and only if they cannot would be think about going to Tottenham.

Tottenham beat Manchester United in the Europa League final and as a result have Champions League football next term while the Red Devils do not.

That is not enough to sway Mbeumo though and he continues to want to move to Old Trafford this summer over other options.

With Tottenham keen to strengthen, it remains to be seen for just how long they would be willing to wait to see if there is a chance to sign Mbeumo.

Frank is a big fan of the attacker, but Spurs could risk being left behind on other attacking targets if they play the waiting game.
