The Most Traditional Club will be part of the football world's most prestigious award ceremony. Botafogo was nominated by the French magazine France Football for the Men's Club of the Year award, earning its place as the first Brazilian team to achieve this honor. The award ceremony takes place this Monday (22nd) at the distinguished Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.

"It will always be time for Botafogo": the message that defined the club's glorious turnaround echoes around the world once again as the team writes another unforgettable chapter of its centennial history. To celebrate the nomination, Botafogo prepared a promotional video highlighting last season's achievements. With versions in Portuguese, English, and French, the production was shared with the world via the international press.

The Ballon d'Or nomination is a symbol of the reformulation process the club has undergone since the transition to the SAF model. With ambition, courage, and professional management led by John Textor, Thairo Arruda, and Alessandro Brito, Botafogo has gone through a modern and victorious reconstruction, becoming once again a protagonist in world football.

The Glorious will be represented at the award ceremony at the Théâtre du Châtelet by John Textor, BFR President João Paulo Magalhães Lins, CEO Thairo Arruda, and Sport Managing Director Alessandro Brito.

The nomination crowns a recent historic achievements, such as the Club's first-ever Copa Libertadores victory in 2024, its third triumph in the Brazilian Championship the same year, and its standout 2025 Club World Cup participation, where it became the first current South-American Champion to defeat the current European Champion in 13 years, following the 1x0 win over PSG.

The ceremony's Brazilian broadcast will start at 3 PM (Brazilian Standard Time) on TNT and on the TNT Sports Brasil YouTube channel.
