Jadon Sancho ‘open to’ Borussia Dortmund return amid interest | OneFootball

The Athletic reports that Borussia Dortmund have strong interest in Jadon Sancho, and that the 25-year-old is open to a return.

The report said he would be willing to take a pay cut to facilitate a move. Sancho is on loan at Aston Villa and is set to become a free agent when his Manchester United contract expires at the end of June.

The England international, capped 23 times with three goals, has struggled to convince at United after arriving from Dortmund in 2021 for €85m, then leaving on three loans. He still hopes to feature at the World Cup, albeit from a long way back.

Sancho scored 53 goals and around 60 assists in 158 games for Dortmund, having joined them at 17 from Manchester City, and remains popular there. He also returned on a six-month loan in 2023-2024, a season that included a surprise Champions League final.

The report also noted interest from clubs in Türkiye and Italy. This season he has only one goal in 29 appearances for Villa.
