Jamaica jumps into the top spot of Group D in the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers

MIAMI – Round One of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers continued with the third set of matches in Groups C, D, and E on Thursday.
Group C
Guatemala 0-0 Saint Lucia
Guatemala moved into the Group C lead with a scoreless draw against Saint Lucia at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
After racking up six goals in two games, Las Chapinas were kept off the board. The team’s best chance came in the 38’, after awarded a penalty, but Emery Aguilar was unable to convert.
Antigua and Barbuda 3-4 Cayman Islands
The Cayman Islands held on for a hard-fought 4-3 win over Antigua and Barbuda in Group C at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
The Cayman Islands jumped out to a 3-nil lead as Cosabella Windsor struck in the 9’ off a header. Reese Bateson doubled the lead in the 23’ with a left-footed blast from the left side of the box. Olivia Ridley got the third in the 34’ as she knocked in a loose ball.
Antigua and Barbuda got on the board in the 38’ with a goal from Keitonya Skepple, but the Cayman Islands tallied its fourth as Bateson notched her brace.
In the 42’, Skepple got her own brace as Antigua and Barbuda scored their second as part of an action-packed six-goal first half.
Antigua and Barbuda were on a mission in the second half, and kept cutting into the deficit with a towering deep goal from Nafisa Quashie in the 61’. The nation searched for an equalizer, but the Cayman Islands did enough to hold off and earn its first win of the tournament.
Group D
Jamaica 5-0 Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Jamaica jumped into the top spot of Group D with a 5-nil victory over Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at Stadion Guillermo Prospero Trinidad in Oranjestad, Aruba.
The Reggae Girlz took the lead in the 38’ off an own goal. Five minutes later, Jamaica doubled its lead when Jaya Lecky calmly buried a penalty kick.
In the 54’ Jamaica extended its lead as Malayna Johnson-Mighty turned on the jets and raced past everyone, finishing off her run with a toe poke.
Jamaica added another pair in a one-minute span as Kalila Daley found the back of the net in the 68’ and Shennell Walters followed it up in the 69’.
Aruba 0-2 Guyana
Guyana cruised to a 2-nil win over Aruba in Group D at Stadion Guillermo Prospero Trinidad in Oranjestad, Aruba.
The opening goal landed in the 26’ as Alexaudria Chasles sent a great ball into the middle of the box and connected with Anaya Joseph for the strike.
It remained a 1-nil game for most of the contest until Chasles came up with another assist in the 88’, spinning past defenders and linking up with Adrianna Chin to finish it off.
Group E
Cuba 3-1 Anguilla
Cuba took over the Group E lead with a 3-1 victory over Anguilla at Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.
Anguilla opened the scoring in the 11’ as McKenzie Niles slipped a through ball to Joden Henry for a goal in the 13’.
Yoesmayda Isaac got Cuba’s equalizer in the 46’ when she floated a long-range curler into the top corner.
Yaiselis López notched the go-ahead tally in the 56’ as she headed a long ball over the top for her 8th goal of the tournament.
Isaac recorded a brace in the 68’ when she sent a free kick into the bottom-right corner to secure the three points.
British Virgin Islands 0-6 Grenada
Grenada rolled to a 6-nil win over the British Virgin Islands in Group E at Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.
The scoring got going just a minute in when Alexis Hypolite ran across the across the box and unleashed an early blast to set the tone.
Cara Bisasor doubled the lead in the 17’ with a high shot over the keeper from the edge of the box.
Arian Mathlin extended the lead in the 23’ as she tapped in a free kick cross from Bisasor at the back post.
Grenada put the finishing touches on a four-goal first half in the 37’ when Adonia McNeilly’s shot deflected off a defender and into the net.
In the 68’ Hypolite tallied a brace as she got past a defender with a nice move and launched a shot from deep over the keeper.
The final blow landed in the 77’ when Arielle Grant scored from close range as Grenada got its first win of the tournament.
