Leeds United have lodged an enquiry for AC Milan midfielder Yunus Musah as Daniel Farke seeks midfield reinforcements, a move that evokes Jesse Marsch flashbacks at Elland Road.
According to Milan News, Leeds have made contact over the 23-year-old USMNT international, with new Milan head coach Ruben Amorim using July to assess him before deciding on his role.
The pursuit recalls Marsch’s tenure, when Tyler Adams, Brenden Aaronson and Weston McKennie formed a sizeable US contingent in West Yorkshire. Marsch had also praised Musah during his spell.
Musah is a powerful ball-carrier from deep who can drift wide from central areas, a profile that suited Marsch’s narrow 4-2-2-2. While Farke’s approach differs, those raw attributes could give Leeds the transition threat they often lack in tight games.
Musah returns to the San Siro after a season-long loan at Atalanta where minutes were limited, and any move would likely hinge on Amorim’s verdict after pre-season. If Milan sanction a transfer, Leeds have positioned themselves at the front of the queue.
