Joan Laporta will officially begin his new mandate as Barcelona president on 1 July, several months after winning the club elections on 15 March.
According to SPORT, the ceremony will take place at Auditori 1899, where Laporta is expected to outline the main objectives of what will be his fourth spell in charge of the club across two different eras.
The biggest challenge remains the completion of the Spotify Camp Nou and the wider Espai Barça project.
Laporta’s board had the courage to start the redevelopment, and now it must finish the work while managing the financial pressure that comes with it.
Barcelona returned to their home last season, but more work remains.
The third tier, VIP boxes and full stadium capacity are expected to be completed during the coming campaign, before the roof is installed in a process that could require another temporary move to Montjuic.

The Espai Barça project goes beyond the stadium. The new Palau Blaugrana is scheduled to begin construction in early 2027, while the board will also have to take a request for expanded financing to the Assembly.
The club secured a €1.45 billion loan in 2023, but the budget has fallen short, with an estimated deviation of between €300 million and €400 million.
That is a huge issue for any board, even one expecting future Camp Nou revenue to rise sharply.
Laporta’s other major task is consolidating Barcelona’s financial recovery. The club expected income of €1.075 billion for the season now ending, and the feeling is that this figure will be surpassed.
That would help Barça return to La Liga’s 1:1 rule, giving the sporting department more freedom.
However, the club also know debt repayments will soon become a real part of the equation.

On the pitch, Laporta begins this mandate from a position of strength. Barcelona have won the last two league titles under Hansi Flick, with La Masia again central to the club’s identity.
Now the next step is Europe. Barça have not won the Champions League since 2015, and that is the trophy that would truly mark this new cycle.
Anthony Gordon has already arrived, while Julian Alvarez remains the dream attacking target.
Laporta also has to protect the member-owned model and guide Barça through the much-talked-about Negreira case.
This Laporta tenure will not be judged only by trophies. It will be judged by whether the club can stay competitive, finish Espai Barça, protect their identity and achieve full financial recovery.
For Laporta, this could be the term that decides his Barcelona legacy, once and for all.
