According to Glorioso 1904, João Cancelo, a Benfica academy product now at Barcelona, could become the first player to win league titles in the four major European leagues if Barcelona clinch La Liga this season.

After a 2-0 win over Getafe and Real Madrid's draw with Betis, Barcelona moved very close to the title. They can secure it next weekend if they beat Osasuna and Madrid do not win.

If that does not happen, the title race could be settled in El Clásico on 10 May at Camp Nou. Barcelona would prefer to finish the job sooner.

For Cancelo, any La Liga medal would carry added weight. He won Serie A with Juventus in 2018/19, the Premier League with Manchester City in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and the Bundesliga with Bayern in 2023.

The Portuguese full-back, valued at 9 million euros, has made 18 appearances for Barcelona, 11 in La Liga, four in the Champions League and three in the Copa del Rey, totalling 1,144 minutes, with one goal and three assists. He will not be a Benfica signing next season.
