Paris Saint-Germain dropped some significant news on Monday ahead of their match against Arsenal on Tuesday at the Emirates Stadium. Ousmane Dembélé was left out of the squad as the team traveled to North London.

According to RMC Sport, Dembélé’s absence is due to disciplinary issues following a heated exchange with manager Luis Enrique after the match against Rennes.

This is a setback for PSG’s attack, especially considering Dembélé’s impressive form this season. The 27-year-old has contributed four goals and four assists in just seven matches across all competitions, so his absence will certainly be felt.

Journalist Olivier Tallaron from Infosport has more details on the situation. While it doesn’t provide the full context, Tallaron mentioned that Dembélé made a poor decision that led to his exclusion from the squad.

“Apparently, there was a discussion between the two men after the match against Rennes, and it got a bit heated,” Tallaron said (h/t Le10Sport).

“It was especially at training the next day, on Saturday, that something happened. ‘Dembélé did something stupid,’ is what we’re hearing from those close to the club, although it’s still a bit vague.”

It’ll be interesting to see how Enrique sets up his starting XI without the Frenchman. Plus, it’s going to take a collective effort for PSG to come away from the Emirates Stadium with a positive result.
