With the transfer window now in its final stretch, movements are starting to happen at FC Barcelona.
While the likelihood of any late signing remains very slim, things could change, especially if the Blaugrana are able to complete a big sale – with Marc Casado’s name doing the rounds.
Now, in a surprise development, SPORT reports that Giuliano Bertolucci, the agent of AS Monaco’s full-backs Caio Henrique and Vanderson, flew into Barcelona for a lightning meeting with Barça sporting director Deco.
Both Brazilians have been on the Blaugrana’s radar in recent months, though any potential signing would hinge on a last-minute sale to free up space in the wage bill.
Vanderson was long seen as a strong candidate for the right-back position, but Monaco’s €25 million-plus asking price proved prohibitive.

Barcelona instead opted to rely on Jules Kounde while also counting on Eric Garcia in that role, with the Spaniard enjoying Hansi Flick’s full confidence.
Caio Henrique, meanwhile, is a left-sided full-back with La Liga experience. Significantly cheaper than Vanderson, he can also fill in at centre-back.
Earlier in the summer, when Barça were weighing up left-back reinforcements, Henrique and Alejandro Grimaldo were the leading names considered.
Barcelona, however, have since doubled down on their trust in Alejandro Balde and are fast-tracking academy product Jofre Torrents into the first team. Gerard Martin is also seen as a versatile option for both left-back and centre-back this season.
Both Vanderson and Henrique have interest from Premier League sides, and their entourage may simply have wanted to gauge whether Barcelona could revive their interest before the deadline.
For now, though, the La Liga champions’ priority remains registering players still without a first-team squad number.
