Inter Milan lost 4-3 to Juventus in the first Derby d’Italia but Nerazzurri head coach Cristian Chivu is looking at the positives, including the brace from under-fire midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
It was a rollercoaster of a derby, with both sides leading at crucial points in the match.
Two goals from the Bianconeri in the last ten minutes gave them an important three points at the Allianz Stadium.
One of Inter’s best players today was Hakan Calhanoglu.
The Turkish midfielder attracted a lot of attention over the summer and continues to be criticised by fans and pundits alike.
After being linked with a move to Galatasaray and a misunderstanding of comments made by Lautaro Martinez, it looked as though the former Leverkusen man’s Inter career might be over.
However, he stayed in Lombardy and repaid the faith in him with two lovely goals today.

Speaking to Inter TV after the match, with quotes via FcInterNews, Chivu revealed he is “happy for” Calhanoglu.
“He is an important player for us and has overcome certain moments,” the coach said.
“I take the team’s performance, which remains strong; we just need to learn to manage certain things to secure important results.”
“The performance remains and I’m happy,” Chivu added.
“Unfortunately, there is regret because we didn’t get anything but we carry the awareness that by adjusting small things, we can achieve satisfaction in the near future.”
The coach then looked ahead to Wednesday’s trip to Ajax in the Champions League.
“Next we have the Champions League,” Chivu said.
“It gives us the opportunity to turn this frustration into something positive and understand the key moments of the game.
“Especially when we worked so hard to turn it around today.”
