Juventus manager Igor Tudor reflected on his team’s narrow 0-1 defeat to Real Madrid, acknowledging that his side came close but ultimately could not match the quality of the Spanish giants.
Despite his comments about deserving more, it was clear that Real Madrid’s control and precision made the difference on the night.
“My feeling is that the team was in the game at all times. They did what they could, and we just lacked the goal.
“The team needed a performance like this, in one of the most difficult stadiums. We leave here feeling that we deserved more,” Tudor said after the match.
While Tudor praised his squad’s effort, the result underscored Real Madrid’s ability to manage high-pressure situations at the Santiago Bernabeu, especially in Champions League matches.
He added, “We did what we had been preparing for, but we lacked a goal that we deserved.

“We are hurt because we lost, but we were in the game and performed well in terms of what we wanted to do. We suffered when we had to suffer.”
While his comments highlighted Juventus’ competitiveness, the game was a showcase of Real Madrid’s defensive discipline and tactical sharpness, which left their opponents struggling to find the breakthrough.
Despite Juventus failing to score, Tudor praised his striker, Serbian Dusan Vlahovic, saying,
“Vlahovic played a great game. It’s not easy for him with a center back stuck to him at all times; he was focused and concentrated, and when he’s like that, he usually does very well.”
The defeat leaves Juventus with just two points from three matches in the Champions League group stage, putting them outside the qualification spots.
“The goal is to do our best. We have three games at home and it’s up to us to qualify for the knockout stages,” Tudor concluded.
