Juventus Player Ratings vs Milan: Uneventful Bianconeri Held Again

Juventus and Milan shared the spoils in a dramatic 0-0 draw in Sunday’s Serie A classic at the Allianz Stadium. Despite a scoreless outcome, the match was far from dull as both teams had their chances to take all three points.

Seeking a way out of a mini-crisis, Juventus headed into proceedings on the back of four consecutive draws in all competitions. Manager Igor Tudor was looking to maintain his unbeaten run in Serie A this season after his side fought back to hold Villarreal to a 2-2 draw in midweek Champions League action.

However, it was a forgettable first half in Turin as neither team could impose itself. Chances were few and far between, with both defenses standing firm and midfield battles dominating the opening 45 minutes.

Juventus came agonizingly close to drawing first blood at the start of the second half. Yet, Mike Maignan pulled off an astonishing save to deny Federico Gatti’s close-range volley. The Bianconeri nearly got punished for Gatti’s miss as Lloyd Kelly tackled Santiago Gimenez to the ground inside the box.

Christian Pulisic took the spot-kick dreadfully, blazing his shot well over the crossbar. Still, Milan could’ve snapped up a late win, only for Rafael Leao to miskick the ball in a one-on-one situation against Michele Di Gregorio. In the end, Juventus preserved their undefeated record in the 2025/26 Serie A season but lost further ground on pacesetters Napoli.

Let’s look at our player ratings.

Juventus (3-4-2-1)

Michele Di Gregorio – 8/10

The highly-rated goalkeeper saved his team tonight, making several important stops to thwart Gimenez, Pulisic, and Leao.

Lloyd Kelly – 4/10

Erratic and clumsy, the Englishman gave away a chip penalty and was lucky to get away without a booking after making a silly foul on Youssouf Fofana.

Daniele Rugani – 7/10

Unlike his defensive colleague, the Italian ace did well for most of the game, though Gimenez caught him off guard once, which nearly led to Milan’s goal.

Federico Gatti – 7/10

Though he was Juventus’ best-performing center-back tonight, the former Frosinone star will not forget that 48th minute anytime soon. He did everything right, only for Maignan’s brilliance to deny him celebrations.

Andrea Cambiaso – 5/10

Probably his least impressive performance since Tudor’s arrival as the versatile wingback had nothing to offer in attack despite seeing plenty of the ball.

Weston McKennie – 6/10

The USMNT midfielder didn’t do much in possession, but he was everywhere, covering more ground than any other Juventus player and breaking up Milan’s rhythm with relentless pressing and timely challenges.

Manuel Locatelli – 7/10

Apart from a reckless yellow card at the start of the second half, the Juventus captain had a near-spotless game, dictating the pace with composure and precision.

Pierre Kalulu – 6/10

From a defensive standpoint, the Frenchman had a perfect match. Yet, his attacking limitations couldn’t keep up with his desire to upset his former side.

Kenan Yildiz – 4/10

In such a cagey affair, where Juventus needed a moment of brilliance to unlock Milan’s defensive block, their No.10 failed to rise to the occasion and looked largely ineffective before being subbed off.

Francisco Conceciao – 5/10

Despite showing plenty of ambition, the diminutive winger couldn’t make an impact, often struggling to outpace Davide Bartesaghi.

Jonathan David – 2/10

A night to forget for the struggling Canadian striker saw him fluff his lines, the only time he had a chance to put Maignan to the test. His dreadful start in Turin continues.
