Juventus have reportedly offered free agent Jonathan David a salary worth €5m per season, plus a signing-on bonus, but are lining up alternatives too.

The Bianconeri are in dire need of new strikers, as Randal Kolo Muani will return to Paris Saint-Germain after his loan spell, Dusan Vlahovic is expected to be sold, and Arkadiusz Milik has been dealing with a serious knee injury all season long.

Their primary target was Victor Osimhen, but Napoli are unwilling to sell him to a Serie A competitor, so the release clause is not valid within Italy.

David is a free agent after his contract with Lille ran down, and Juventus seem to be leading that chase, as Tuttosport outline the proposal of a salary worth €5m per season net, plus a further €7m signing-on bonus.

Other clubs remain interested, so director Cristiano Giuntoli has to line up some alternatives too.

Juventus cast net within Serie A too

Lorenzo Lucca has impressed at Udinese so far this season with 11 goals in 32 Serie A appearances, plus two in three Coppa Italia games.

The 24-year-old is valued at €30m and has also been linked with Napoli, Milan and Roma within Serie A.

Juventus would hope to lower the cost by including a player exchange, for example Jonas Rouhi.

Another candidate for Juventus mentioned by Tuttosport is Lecce centre-forward Nikola Krstovic, a 25-year-old more in the Vlahovic mould.

He too found the net 11 times in 36 Serie A games, plus four assists, with Milan, Fiorentina and Torino all previously linked.

If Lecce are relegated to Serie B this evening, that could force them into a sale at a lower price.
