Juventus target Bernardo Silva, the midfielder José Mourinho wants at Benfica

Juventus are targeting Bernardo Silva, the Manchester City midfielder whose contract is ending, with the Portuguese also linked with Benfica.
According to Tuttosport, any planned squad overhaul would be led by the current coach. The club have not lifted the Scudetto since 2019/2020, though they have won the Supercoppa and two Coppa Italia titles in that time.
Luciano Spalletti wants signings who can deliver now. Goalkeeper options named include Ederson of Fenerbahçe, David de Gea of Fiorentina and Emiliano Dibu Martínez of Aston Villa.
Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka and Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi are also being considered. The intention is to assemble an experienced side capable of an immediate push back to the top of Italian football.
This season has been turbulent. Juventus sit 6th in Serie A, 17 points off the leaders, and are already out of the Coppa Italia. Bernardo Silva, valued at €27 million, has made 39 appearances across 2,852 minutes, scoring two goals and supplying five assists, split between 29 in the Premier League, seven in the Champions League, one in the FA Cup and two in the League Cup.
