Matchday 22 delivered goals, milestones and momentum shifts across the Bundesliga.
According to Get German Football News, it was a weekend rich in storylines.
Bayern Munich won 3-0 at Werder Bremen as Harry Kane hit his 25th and 26th league goals, one from the spot and one from range. They were also his 499th and 500th career goals.
Leon Goretzka added the only goal after the break. Manuel Neuer went off before half-time and the club confirmed a torn muscle fibre, so Jonas Urbig steps in as number one.
Borussia Dortmund eased past Mainz 05 4-0 on Friday. Serhou Guirassy scored twice before the interval, Ramy Bensebaini struck late and Julian Ryerson supplied all four assists, largely from set pieces.
Niko Kovac reflected that strikers need proper support, praised Fabio Silva and said Guirassy’s response has been sensational, with his goals boosting their chances of winning.
Hamburger SV’s home form is fuelling their survival push, unbeaten in 2026 with draws against Bayern and Dortmund and wins over Heidenheim and Union. Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer scored twice.
Merlin Polzin said the step up is significant and stressed Königsdörffer’s value in his movement and work. HSV held on for their first league win over Union and are up to 9th, with 19 of 25 points at home.
Elsewhere, Stuttgart beat FC Köln 3-1 with two late goals, Ermendin Demirovic netting twice and Deniz Undav scoring his 48th Bundesliga goal on his 100th appearance. Leverkusen thrashed St. Pauli 4-0, and RB Leipzig drew 2-2 with Wolfsburg.
