Kiat Lim spent more than an hour touring the Nou Mestalla works before leaving the city. The Valencia president was accompanied by general director Javier Solís and stadium operations director Christian Schneider.
According to Superdeporte, the visit was a key item on his agenda during a short return to Valencia, three months after his December trip for the club’s AGM. On Tuesday he held more than six hours of visits and meetings at the Paterna training ground.
He checked on-site progress towards the target of summer 2027 and met senior executives in person. Since September 2025, part of the compression ring has been installed, about 50% of pillars are complete, new stair towers are up and sections of the balconadas have been fitted on Españeta Street.
His stay lasted under two days, during which he reviewed club matters and set tasks for the coming months. One immediate aim is to appoint a new figure in the sporting structure to speed decisions for the 2026/27 planning.
The club says construction is on schedule and, if there are no unexpected setbacks, Valencia should start the 2027/28 season at Nou Mestalla. Lim has now returned to Singapore.
