Stole Dimitrievski heads into the international break in his best Valencia spell, seeking to take North Macedonia to the 2026 World Cup through the play-offs.

North Macedonia face Denmark in Thursday's semi-final, then, if they win, the final against the Czech Republic or the Republic of Ireland. As reported by Superdeporte, his situation at Mestalla has flipped since the last break, when comments to a Macedonian outlet about limited minutes stirred debate.

Four months on, a long-term injury and relapse for Julen Agirrezabala opened the door. Dimitrievski has claimed the starting spot and delivered composed, influential displays that have underpinned Valencia's recent upturn.

Across 11 league starts he has conceded 12 goals, roughly one every 82 minutes. Before his run, Agirrezabala's 18 league games saw 30 conceded, one every 54 minutes. The disparity is not only on the former, with an overall team improvement in which Dimitrievski has been central.

Booking a World Cup place would crown his form and provide extra drive for the run-in. Valencia have largely left the relegation fight behind and, with ambition, could contest European spots.

Beyond this season, his contract expires in June, though a clause allows a further two years if the club choose to trigger it. Given his impact, activation appears quite likely.
