Kubo returns to the squad after two and a half months | OneFootball

Take Kubo returns to the matchday squad 75 days after tearing his left hamstring against Barcelona, and will be included for Saturday’s game with Levante.

According to Diario Vasco, Pellegrino Matarazzo had targeted a post-break comeback for Kubo and he has met, even bettered, that timeline.

Gonçalo Guedes is fit after a knock on international duty. He skipped Thursday’s session but trained today in the final workout before the league fixture, as did Croatians Sucic and Caleta-Car, who have made themselves available.

To offset the absences of the ‘4’ txuri-urdin and Igor Zubeldia, Matarazzo has called up Beitia and Ibai Aguirre, long involved with the first team but yet to play under him. The centre-back from Elgoibar debuted in the Copa, and after skipping Sanse’s Gipuzkoa derby on Thursday his inclusion was an open secret.

Rupérez, Odriozola and Odriozola remain out and are not expected to rejoin group work yet. Karrikaburu makes the list, although he is still the only player yet to debut under Matarazzo.
