Larsen nets hat-trick as Wolves ease past Shrewsbury | OneFootball

Jorgen Strand Larsen ended a 13-game goal drought with a hat-trick as Wolves cruised past League Two side Shrewsbury Town 6-1 to reach the FA Cup fourth round.

The Norway striker opened the scoring after nine minutes with a neat flick from Hwang Hee-chan’s pass, before Jhon Arias doubled the lead shortly afterwards. Shrewsbury briefly pulled one back when Arias fouled John Marquis in the box and the forward converted the resulting penalty.

Wolves restored their two-goal advantage just before half-time after goalkeeper Elyh Harrison miscontrolled a pass, allowing Strand Larsen to score from distance. The striker completed his hat-trick early in the second half, finishing neatly from Arias’ pass.

Rodrigo Gomes and Tolu Arokodare added two late goals to complete the emphatic 6-1 win.

The victory extended Wolves’ unbeaten run to four games after a difficult run of 12 straight defeats in all competitions.
