Lazio ‘to move for’ Ajax midfielder Kenneth Taylor | OneFootball

According to Fabrizio Romano, Lazio are in advanced negotiations with Ajax to sign 23-year-old midfielder Kenneth Taylor, who is viewed as Francesco Farioli’s preferred addition in midfield. He is considered the leading candidate to replace Matteo Guendouzi, who is set to join Fenerbahçe.

Last summer, Taylor was a target for Porto, with Farioli attempting to take the Dutchman from Ajax. The Amsterdam club resisted the approach, holding firm on their valuation.

Almost six months on, Taylor is in line to leave Amsterdam for Italy as talks progress between the clubs. Lazio have identified him for the role vacated by Guendouzi.

After missing out on Taylor, Porto moved for Froholdt, who has since emerged as one of their standout performers and a leading figure in the Portuguese league.

Over the same period, Taylor has recorded two goals and four assists in 19 appearances for Ajax.
