Fabio Capello is confident Cristian Chivu will thrive at Inter Milan after a promising start to his managerial tenure at the club.
Speaking to Radio Anch’io Lo Sport via FCInterNews, the famous Italian coach hailed Chivu’s early impact at San Siro.
Inter Milan have quickly established themselves as genuine contenders in what promises to be another dramatic race for the Serie A title.
Despite losing twice in the opening three games, last season’s runners-up have entered the international break in fourth.
Furthermore, they languish only three points behind joint-pacesetters Napoli and Roma.
More importantly, Cristian Chivu has rekindled the team’s winning mentality after a series of heartbreaks last season.
Star players, like Lautaro Martinez, are flourishing.
Additionally, new additions, such as Ange-Yoan Bonny and Francesco Pio Esposito, have fit seamlessly into the team.
Therefore, there’s plenty of optimism around the San Siro camp.

Capello believes Chivu can upgrade Inter despite his limited experience in senior management.
Indeed, the 79-year-old praised the 44-year-old’s intelligence, professionalism, and overall understanding of the game.
Even during his playing career, Chivu demonstrated leadership, tactical awareness, and the ability to read the game.
Furthermore, he has carried those traits over into his managerial role.
“Everyone is talking about Chivu, who has now taken charge of Inter,” Capello said.
“I’ve always said from the start that he is an intelligent young man, a true professional, capable of understanding the problems.
“He understood them; he didn’t come in like a bulldozer.
“When you enter a team that has already achieved a lot and reached important results, you can’t change everything. You have to do it gradually.
“You need to get inside the players’ heads, and he has succeeded. He will take Inter to even higher levels.”
