Gary Rowett has urged Leicester City’s players to hold each other to account after a flashpoint between Harry Winks and Abdul Fatawu in the 1-1 draw with Ipswich.

According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, the manager had no issue with Winks showing his frustration towards the winger.

In one of only two second-half efforts from City, Fatawu tried to score from his own half, echoing his home goal against Ipswich from about 70 yards, but this attempt drifted closer to the corner flag.

Rowett noted Fatawu had put in heavy defensive work against Leif Davis, which sapped energy, and said Winks simply wanted him to keep the ball. He stressed players must demand more from one another, something he has seen over the past two weeks and which has been encouraged, so long as it is done the right way.

City are winless in 10 but face three matches in the next fortnight against out-of-form mid-table opponents. They host Bristol City on Tuesday night, then QPR visit the King Power Stadium next weekend, before an away trip to Watford ahead of the March international break.
