Celtic are preparing for their third home game in a row when they play host to Motherwell this Sunday (KO: 3pm).
And the Hoops are determined to return to winning ways following a goal-less draw against Hibernian last weekend and a 2-0 defeat to SC Braga in the Europa League.
Speaking to Celtic TV ahead of the game against Motherwell, Liam Scales said: “It’s good to have games every couple of days because, good or bad, you can’t dwell on the previous game, you always have to be thinking about the next one.
“Obviously, we want to put that right in our next European game and we need to be better and pick up points, but right now we are moving on to the Motherwell game and it is sort of a blessing to have it so close.
'It’s really important to go into the international break off the back of a win. Motherwell are a different side this season to what they have been.'
“They’re playing a lot more football on the ground so it’ll be interesting to see, but for us, we’ve just got to think about hitting our performance levels and winning the game.
“From what we’ve watched of them so far this season, they’re playing really good football which it’s good to see, but we just need to be ready for that different challenge to what we usually face against a typical Motherwell side.
“We just want points on the board and, ideally, we want to keep a clean sheet and score a few goals, but we know it’s never that simple so the main objective is to get the win.”
This Sunday, October 5, Celtic TV goes live from 2:30pm (CPT), with Gerry McCulloch and Simon Donnelly in the studio bringing you all the build-up and atmosphere from Paradise.
Before kick-off, the Celtic TV audience will hear from Brendan Rodgers talking with reporter, John Ledwith in the Paradise tunnel to discuss his starting XI and provide the latest headlines before the 3pm kick-off, with live commentary from Paul Cuddihy and Peter Grant.
At half-time, you’ll get a chance to win a signed Hoops top in our Goal of the Month competition. Plus, we’ll hear from Fiona Brown who has returned to Celtic FC Women as fitness coach after previously turning out in the Hoops as a player.
