Ligue 1 2026 salaries: Metz’s top 10 earners after TV cash collapse | OneFootball

FC Metz have kept a tight grip on wages on their Ligue 1 return in 2026, shaped by the near-vanishing of TV rights. According to L'Équipe, the club have slimmed their pay structure compared with 2023-24.

Under Frédéric Arpinon and Hélène Schrub, the average monthly gross salary has fallen from €35,000 in 2024 to about €28,000 in 2026.

The wage hierarchy has also shifted, now led by familiar faces back at the club, and without a costly misfire in the top end like Ghanaian Benjamin Tetteh was in 2024 on €85,000.

Top earners are led by H. Diallo on €90,000 a month, followed by G. Hein on €75,000 and B. Stambouli on €65,000. Bo. Traoré receives €55,000, with a further €110,000 paid by Wolverhampton, his parent club.

J.P. Gbamin and J. Deminguet are on €50,000, F. Ballo-Touré €40,000, G. Tsitaichvili and M. Colin €35,000, and K. Kouao €30,000.
