Said El Mala has been the talk of the Bundesliga since breaking into the FC Koln team this season.
The 19-year-old has scored four goals in nine Bundesliga matches this term and his excellent form has put him on the radar of top European and Premier League clubs.
That’s according to a new report in Football Insider, which claims Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea all watching the Germany under-21 international.
“The skilful attacker’s performances have brought him onto the radar of Europe’s top clubs, with Premier League trio Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea big admirers of the 19-year-old,” a report reads.
Initially signed from Viktoria Koln back in 2024, El Mala stayed on loan with his original club for the 2024/25 season. But since stepping into the Bundesliga he has not looked back.
The two-footed attacker has been stationed mostly on the left in his German top-flight career so far but has also featured at attacking midfield and even from the right.
That kind of versatility is sure to appeal to Arne Slot - who may also be looking for a long-term successor to Mo Salah next summer.
El Mala is under contract with Koln until 2030 - guaranteeing that the German giants will bank a decent fee if he’s sold in the near future.
He ranks highly on FOTMOB for goals, shots, tackles, duels, possessions won in the final third, dribbles and touches in the opposition box.
Liverpool would be getting a genuine attacking all-rounder if this deal comes off. Let’s keep an eye on El Mala’s progress. Remember the name - it’s only a matter of time before he moves on to a bigger club.
