In a recent post on X, journalist Ben Jacobs stated that Liverpool are in pole position to land Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola. It is believed that the Reds are more active than Arsenal in the race to sign the France international this summer.
Barcola enjoyed a decent run of form at the French club in the previous campaign when he produced a series of impressive displays for them in the final third. The French sensation made 49 appearances for PSG last season, scoring 13 times and picking up seven assists in all competitions.
The 23-year-old is currently one of the most talented wingers in Ligue 1. Hence, the Reds would do well to lure him to Merseyside later this year.
His current contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Liverpool to sign him on a cut-price deal.

Barcola has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out on the flanks. He has got the vision to create a few inviting chances for his teammates in and around the opponent’s penalty area.
The French sensation is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. Barcola is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also function as a right-winger or as a centre-forward if asked to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League if the Reds manage to snap him up later this year.
We can expect Barcola to bring more firepower to Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola’s frontline. He is good enough to challenge for a regular starting place at the Merseyside club in the coming seasons.
At 23, Barcola has got his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for Liverpool to pursue in this summer transfer window. The French sensation would also help the Merseyside outfit compete for some major honours over the next few years. All in all, the Reds would be wise to move in for him this off-season.
