In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Liverpool are preparing to move in for Bournemouth star Antoine Semeyo this January. It is understood that the Reds are ready to launch a move to sign the Ghanaian talent in the winter transfer window.
Semenyo has made a great start to this campaign as he has put in a handful of impressive displays for the Cherries in the final third. The 25-year-old has banged in six goals and earned three assists in 12 matches for Bournemouth this season across all fronts.
The Ghana international has given a good account of himself in the opponent’s half based on his average of 1.91 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has kept 57.1% of his attempts on target. However, Semenyo needs to improve his ball distribution, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 69.5% in top-flight football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will run out in the summer of 2030. Thus, it won’t be easy for the Reds to sign him on a cut-price deal next year.

Semenyo is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the field. He can strike the ball with venom from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top.
The Ghanaian talent is primarily a right-winger, but can also operate as a left-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if asked to do so. He has already proven his worth in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Merseyside club.
We can expect Semenyo to add more quality and depth to Liverpool boss Arne Slot’s defence. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at Anfield in the coming years.
At 25, Semenyo has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a dream choice for the Reds to consider next year. He might even help the Merseyside club compete for some major trophies in the future. Therefore, Slot should focus on snapping him up soon.
