In a recent post on X, journalist Florian Plettenberg revealed that Liverpool are ready to step up their efforts to land Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola. It has been stated that the Reds are planning to schedule talks with the French club to land the talented wide player this off-season.

Barcola’s Decent Numbers In French Football

Barcola enjoyed an excellent run of form at the French club in the previous campaign when he put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The France international banged in 13 goals and secured seven assists in 49 matches for PSG last season on all fronts.

The 23-year-old is currently among the most feared wide players in Ligue 1. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Reds are showing interest in recruiting him later this year.

His current deal at the French club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Liverpool to sign him on a cut-price deal in this transfer window.

Should Liverpool Boss Andoni Iraola Snap Barcola Up?

Barcola has got the pace to cause a lot of problems for his marker out on the flanks. He possesses the vision to engineer a few promising chances for his teammates in the final third and is a brilliant dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The French talent can even shoot the ball with power from long range and can chip in by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team. Barcola is primarily a left-winger but can also serve as a right-sided wide player or play as a centre-forward if needed. However, it remains to be seen whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Reds manage to sign him this summer.

Barcola would add more pace and goals to Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola’s attack. He is good enough to fight for a regular starting role at the Merseyside club in the coming seasons.

At 23, the future looks quite promising for Barcola as long as he continues to improve with each year. Hence, Iraola would be wise to snap him up before the end of this transfer window.
