Transfer dominos could fall with three French stars involved

Liverpool have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Bradley Barcola.

The Reds are thought to have been quoted a price tag of around £145million by Paris Saint-Germain for Barcola, who, it seems, is unlikely to sign a new contract at the Parc des Princes.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports reported earlier this month that Liverpool had opened talks with Monaco over a deal to sign Maghnes Akliouche, as they eye an addition out wide following the departure of star winger Mohamed Salah on a free transfer.

It appears that they have missed out on their top target Yan Diomande, with Liverpool seeing a bid worth €100million reportedly rejected by RB Leipzig.

The Ivorian teenager, 19, looks set to sign for Real Madrid with an agreement rumoured to be close between the two clubs, and Diomande keen on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Barcola has emerged as their new priority, and all eyes will be on him after Foot Mercato claimed that Akliouche would rather sign for PSG than Liverpool, informing the Premier League side as much.

It seems likely that Paris would move for Akliouche should Barcola depart, and the fact that Monaco are set to land a seemingly ready-made replacement for Akliouche could set the transfer dominos in motion.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Monaco have agreed a deal worth €25m to sign Matthis Abline from Nantes, who can operate in all three positions in the attacking third of the pitch.

If and when Abline arrives at the Stade Louis II, it would allow Akliouche to leave for the French capital, and open the door for Liverpool to move for Barcola as they chase another option on the flanks.
